QRBox

QRBox free generator

Privacy, plainly.

The QRBox free generator does not ask for an account. The application does not store the content you submit or the QR image it returns.

What is processed

Your content is sent to QRBox to create the QR image returned to your browser. The application does not store the entered content or generated image in its database. The quota record is separate and does not contain that content or image.

Keeping the free tool fair

To apply the shared-network allowance, QRBox stores a keyed cryptographic fingerprint of the source network address and a timestamp. The quota database does not store the raw network address. Records outside the rolling 24-hour window are removed the next time the quota is checked; removal does not run on a fixed schedule.

Optional website statistics

Website statistics are off in this browser.

Off by default. If you choose “Allow statistics”, Cloudflare Web Analytics loads on subsequent page visits to measure page views and loading performance. This helps us improve QRBox. It is separate from scan tracking and is not needed to make a QR code.

Measurement can include visited page addresses, referring sites, browser/device information and performance timings. Cloudflare receives connection information when its software loads or sends measurements. We do not include the content you enter in the generator or its generated image in analytics events.

Your choice is saved for up to 180 days in a first-party preference cookie named __Host-qrbox-statistics-v1. It contains only “allow” or “decline”, not a unique visitor identifier or QR content. This cookie is used to remember the choice you request; it is separate from Cloudflare measurement. If cookies are blocked or cleared, statistics stay off until you choose again.

Use “Statistics settings” in any page footer to change your choice. Withdrawing stops the optional script on subsequent page loads; the settings page itself does not load it. Reload any other QRBox pages you already have open. It does not erase measurements already sent. QR creation and essential website delivery continue either way. Each browser has its own choice.

Read about Cloudflare’s measurement technology. Operational network/security processing is separate, as described below.

Website delivery and contact

Cloudflare delivers and protects this website. Your network address and request information are processed to connect you to the service. Infrastructure logging is separate from the generator’s quota database; the quota statement above is not a promise that no provider processes network addresses.

If you email us, your address, message and any attachments are processed by email providers so we can receive and respond to your request. Do not send passwords or other sensitive QR content.

Your privacy choices and rights

Contact [email protected] to ask about personal data or exercise your rights. Depending on the processing and applicable law, these may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

What is not in this release

This generator does not create accounts, collect scan analytics, infer location, add tracking to your QR code, or offer user-created permanent redirects. Mystery QR includes curated edition links; these are separate from the free codes you generate.
